ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ATTENTION ALL CLUB MEMBERS!

Firearm Owner Alert : Original House Bill HD4420 is now replaced by H4139.

The Senate version passed in that chamber weeks ago and has now moved into conference committee to resolve the differences between the House and Senate version.
Here is the Latest information from GOAL
Contact your local state senator and share your concerns about the bill and the lack of public process. Also, share GOAL’s summary with them.


MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL TIME -- DUES CAN BE PAID AT THE MAY MEETING!

BYLAW CHANGE: 1. Elimination of term limits for the President/Vice President positions
2. Updates to the by-law for club dissolution
A mailing has gone out to all cllub members explaining the details of the change. Votes will be taken at the next three club meetings. Please attend and vote.

ORGANIZED CLUB LEAGUES:

TRAP - 2024 season has started. Wednesday evenings @ 7PM. Cost: $6 per round. Shells: $10 per box.


ARCHERY - 3-D Archery to begin in April, weather permitting (5:30 pm shooting time). 3 pins 25 yds, 45 yds and over.

Range-Pistol Stations 1 - 10 (close impact stations) will be designated as pistols (.22, .38, .357, 9 mm and assorted handguns and RIM FIRE .22 RIFLES ONLY!).

THE SHOOTING RANGE IS OPEN FOR MEMBERS TO USE.

Range-.22 Rifle Shoot - Brent Leger and Harry Riendauto co-chair the .22 Rifle shoots in May- 2024! Begining in May 2024 every Tuesday, May 7th the .22 rifle shoot will begin, $20 per person and at the conclusion of the month a steak dinner will be served. This will be repeated into the early fall (end date TBD).

Turkey box & mouth calls available for $10 at BSC meeting

Attention members: Gate code remains the same for 2024.





UP-COMING EVENTS:

Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony will be held at the club on Saturday, May 18th (1 – 4 pm)

Junior Conservation Camp - applications for 2024 camp should be submitted now. BSC members who have a qualified youth interested in going to Junior Conservation Camp will be considered for full sponsorship. This is a great opportunity that should not be passed up!

CLUB CLEANUP - The members voted for Sunday, June 2nd for club-cleanup day.

SPORTSMAN'S CHALLENGE: The Hardwick Club will be hosting the Sportsman’s Challenge, Vinny Kotowski has put together a team of 5 and is looking to see if any other members would like to join a 2nd team. On Sunday, April 14th at 10 am, a practice 300-yard shoot and pistol shooting will be held and every week there-after till the Sunday, May 19th at Hardwick.






CAPITAL PROJECTS

The Capital Projects Committee has identified three (3) key Capital Projects that will be addressed first. They were passed by a vote of the Members present. These projects are as follows:
• Range roof (includes replacing deteriorated poles and painting the roof)
• Replace / relocate the BBQ pit away from the Club House. COMPLETED.
• Replace the gate lock with a more dependable one.




Range Housekeeping & Tidiness

5 gallon plastic buckets are in place at the range for disposal of your spent brass. Please be responsible and pickup your brass in addition to discarding your paper targets at the end of your day. This would greatly be appreciated, after all this is your Range so lets’ keep it looking nice for all to enjoy.

IMPORTANT RANGE INFORMATION:
Shooting Positions:

Defined shooting positions which are REQUIRED to be adhered to, in order for the updates to the range (in regards to safety) to be realized:
Positions 1-10: <= 25 yards
Positions 11-22:200 yards
Positions 23-44: 50-100 yards
Please adhere to the positions, as the berms are designed to absorb impacts and maximize safety if utilized this way. Not adhering to these requests is a safety violation.
